About
the speaker: Dr.
Patiño-Echeverri is the Gendell Associate Professor of Energy Systems and
Public Policy at the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. Her
research focuses on public policy design for energy systems, Dr.
Patino-Echeverri is also adjunct associate professor at the Engineering and
Public Policy Department at Carnegie Mellon University and co-principal
investigator of the NSF Center for Climate and Energy Decision Making. She
received B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in Industrial Engineering from University of
The Andes, Bogotá, Colombia and the PhD degree in Engineering and Public Policy
from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently visiting Duke Kunshan
University where she will continue a project to characterize the uncertainty on
future electricity demand in China, and studying regulatory and market design
options for the Chinese electric power sector.
