Undergraduate International Program in Economics (UIPE) aims to nurture future leaders who will make an impact on the world. They will be empowered with state-of-the-art knowledge about the world, charismatic leadership and global competitiveness in a diverse and multi-cultural environment in four years.

 UIPE provides students with a curriculum based on liberal-art education and a gradually increasing depth in understanding Economics. All students in this program are encouraged to study outside Chinese mainland for at least one semester during the 4-year study. For students planning to go to the industry or international organizations after graduation, internships during the summer or winter vacations in the senior academic year are encouraged; for students planning further studies, rigorous education in math and economic theory at an advanced level will be offered.

The track of International Business & Investment offered to the cohort of 2026 has been updated to a new English-taught undergraduate program: UIPI (Undergraduate International Program in International Economy and Trade), which will recruit the first cohort in 2027. 

UIPI aims to cultivate globally-minded professionals with a solid foundation in economic theory and international trade practices. Students will develop the analytical skills to navigate global markets, understand international trade rules, and apply quantitative methods to solve real-world economic challenges. The program prepares graduates for careers in multinational corporations, international organizations, and cross-border business, or for further academic pursuits in related fields.

UIPI features an innovative, English-taught curriculum that seamlessly integrates rigorous economic theory with data science and AI applications. By combining interactive learning with real-world business practice and global exchange opportunities, it equips students with the cutting-edge analytical skills demanded by the modern global economy.
