On May 25 ^th, the Provost & Deputy President of Singapore Management University Prof. Rajendra Srivastava, together with SMU colleagues, Prof. Gerard George, Dean and Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Prof. Reddi Kotha, Associate Professor of Strategic Management, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, and Mr. Andrew Chin, China Desk, paid a visit to School of Economics (SOE) to discuss on the potential Global Innovation Institution with Prof. Zhang Jun, Dean of SOE and other SOE colleagues, in the presence of Mr. Xu Songliang, Director of the Yangtze River Delta, China Asscociation for Promotion OF Science & Technology and Finance, and Mr. Bill Xu, General Manager, Shanghai Fuhui Management Consulting Co. Ltd.

 

After the discussion, SMU delegation had a field visit to Shanghai Entrepreneurs Public Training Base for an on-site-investigation on the incubation of innovative and entrepreneurial Talent, and Bay Valley Science and Technology Park, which will be served as headquarters, R&D centers, and business centers to high-tech enterprises. The delegation was impressed with the incubation process in the Base and the Valley’s management mode and they look forward to going further by collaborating with them on the potential Global Innovation Institution.
