Organized by the Institute of World Economy, the 2nd Fudan-KOC joint workshop was held at the School of Economics on May 22 focusing on the topic of “In the Establishment of the New Silk Road Belt: China and Turkey”. In addition to academics from the two universities and Shanghai University of International Studies, Turkish Consul General in Shanghai Mr. Özcan Şahin also attended. The participants had in-depth discussions about the impact of China’s “One Belt One Road” strategy on the economies, trade, and energy of the two countries and the opportunities arising from the strategy.
