On July 4-5, Mr. Zhang Tao, a PhD candidate of our school, attended the forum for doctoral students organized by the China Institute for Rural Studies at Tsinghua University, and made a presentation on his award-winning paper entitled “Moderate Agricultural Scale Management in China’s East Coast Area and China’s Rural Reform—-An Empirical Study of Hai’an County in Jiang Su Province”. The forum received more than 100 papers submitted by PhD students from all over the country. 26 were presented at the forum, and 6 won the best paper prize. More than 300 people attended the forum, including Mr. Chen Xiwen, Deputy Head of Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Rural Work Leading Croup Office and Dean of Tsinghua’s China Institute for Rural Studies, Mr. Du Ying, Vice Director of the Committee for Ethnic and Religious Affairs of the CPPCC, Consultant of the State Council, and Member of the Guiding Committee of Tsinghua’s China Institute for Rural Studies. Mr. Zhang Tao’s supervisor is Prof. Zhang Huiming.
